Cardinal Techniques
Prior planning is the only effective preventative measure. Although it's impossible to plan for every possible outcome, problems can be controlled through the use of properly calculated and executed technique. A Cardinal Technique is either one of two equally productive methods: Freestyle or Managed.
· The Managed Method involves thorough planning and strict project management until the projects completion. This method is most suited for projects with longevity, complex in nature or are highly dependant on resources.
· The Freestyle Method is done on the fly. Moderate planning, convenient resources and ingenuity are the cornerstone of this method. This method can be used anytime the creativity of a project has more significance than its resources.
To put it simply, Cardinal Techniques are divided into "right brain" and "left brain" influence. This separation creates strength in the individual approach. While most projects will require the Managed Method to ensure proper execution, there will be those that need the Freestyle Method to accomplish tasks quickly and efficiently. Although I support a wide array of project types, they are all governed by guidelines and documentation specific to their requirements.
I will not be satisfied with a project until all involved parties are satisfied.
